Yesterday, at the University Milan-Bicocca was presented the University First Level Master “Business Intelligence and Decision Support Systems”, set up by Statistic Science Faculty of the University and sponsored by Beta 80 Group. In addition to the Faculty Dean Gianni Corrao and the Master Director Mario Mezzanzanica, also Alberto Daprà, Vice-President of Lombardia Informatica, Andrea Grianti, Business Intelligence Area Manager for Accenture, and Daniele Ferrari, Business Software Solutions Division Manager for Beta 80 Group, were all speakers at the presentation.
The master, scheduled for the Academic Year 2011-2012, plans to thoroughly teach statistics, information technology, management and company organization topics. This is what Daniele Ferrari thinks of Beta 80 Group's commitment in the project: “For a company such as ours, which deals with cutting edge software solutions, the relationship with Universities is cardinal, for two reasons. The first one is the chance to tap into valuable human resources which have already been trained upon essential market topics, and Business Intelligence is certainly among these. The second one is to maintain a tight connection with the academia, where the future professionals and managers come from, a source of motivating force and methodological innovation. Even during times of recession such as the current one, sponsoring a University master is a tangible sign of a company which, betting on youths, works on a still possible development”.
